The General Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of our
Hall, including the selection, development and performance management of
employees. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and
supplies, optimize profits and ensure that guests are satisfied with their
dining experience
? Manage a Hall within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure
customer satisfaction and profit maximization
? Total operational and financial responsibility for an individual unit
? Directly perform hands-on work on an ongoing basis to train employees,
respond to customer service needs, or otherwise role model appropriate
behaviours in the Hall
? Managers provide overall leadership; recognize and motivate members of
the team; coach and train the team for operational excellence
? Establishes Hall business plan by surveying Hall demand; conferring with
people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing
financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses, and estimatesPositions Supervised
? Assistant Manager(s), Shift Supervisor(s), and Hall Team Member(s)

Main Responsibilities
? Control day-to-day operations by scheduling labour, ordering food and
supplies, and developing the Hall team
? Manage Assistants and Shift Managers (if applicable)
? Ensure local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy
are met including but not limited to municipal, provincial and federal
including but not exclusive to AGCO, Health, Fire, etc)
? Control Profit & Loss by following cash control/security procedures,
maintaining inventory, managing labour, reviewing financial reports, and
taking appropriate actions? Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals,
take disciplinary action, motivate and train
? Ensure maintenance of equipment, facility, and grounds through the use of a
[Plan] based of company standards**
? Ensure food quality and 100% customer satisfaction
? Ensure complete and timely execution of corporate and local marketing
programs
? Community ambassador, developing fruitful relationships with local
businesses, associations and customers
? Ensure a safe working and customer experience environment by facilitating
safe work behaviours of the team
? Establishes Hall business plan by surveying Hall demand; conferring with
people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing
financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses, and estimates
? Meets Hall financial objectives by developing financing; establishing banking
relationships; preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets;
analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and
monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to
increase average meal checks
? Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising,
public and community relations programs; evaluating program results;
identifying and tracking changing demands
? Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with account manager;
negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists;
reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking
corrective actions
? Maintains operations by preparing policies and standard operating
procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-
service standards; determining and implementing system improvements
? Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food,
beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building
relationships with preferred patrons
? Accomplishes Hall and bar human resource objectives by recruiting,
selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and
disciplining management staff; communicating job expectations; planning,monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and
reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
? Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing,
following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying
with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems
? Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends
in the Hall industry; attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking
state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
? Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new
and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job
