Position Overview


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager for our Territorial Fuel Sales division. The General Manager of Territorial Fuel Sales is responsible for overseeing all operations, business development, and customer relationship management within the assigned sales territory. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution to drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in fuel distribution and related services.

This position can be based in either Calgary, Alberta or Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.



Key Responsibilities



Sales and Business Development

Lead and manage fuel sales activities across the designated territory to meet or exceed sales targets. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and profitability. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with commercial, industrial, and retail clients. Negotiate contracts, pricing structures, and supply agreements in alignment with company policies.

Operational Management

Oversee daily operations related to fuel distribution, logistics, and customer service within the region. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Manage inventory levels, delivery schedules, and supplier relationships to maintain optimal operational efficiency.

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and mentor sales and operations staff to achieve organizational objectives. Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback and support. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Financial and Reporting

Monitor financial performance, including revenue, margins, and operating costs. Prepare and present regular reports on sales metrics, forecasts, and territory performance. Work with senior management to develop budgets, pricing strategies, and business growth plans.

Qualifications



Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Understanding of logistics, regulatory compliance, and fuel market dynamics. Must have the

legal right to work in Canada

.

Strong knowledge of the Canadian North

and its operational challenges, including remote logistics and climate considerations.

Strong knowledge of fuel distribution within Canada's aviation network

is considered a valuable asset.

Compensation Structure



Base Salary:

Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Commission:

Commission rate structure to be determined based on product type and margin thresholds.

Bonuses:

Work Environment
