Responsibilities include: The General Manager is the Senior Staff member reporting directly to the President of the Royal St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Regatta Committee, providing office management support to the Board of Directors and leadership to Staff. They are responsible for all matters pertaining to client service when dealing with the public, sponsorship stakeholders, athletes, media relations, Royal St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Regatta Committee Members and ground space stakeholders. Key Activities: Manages a compliment of staff (3-5 seasonal staff/students); Supports The Committee in any and all Race Day preparations, as required; Manages day-to-day inquiries from the rowing community, general public, ground space stakeholders and sponsors; General bookkeeping and financial Responsibilities; Marketing and Communications; gathering information for Regatta Day programme and media guides, ground space/vendor communications; Manage museum rentals and enquiries; Represents The Committee at meetings and events with City Officials and other Dignitaries; Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months Salary: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Benefits:

- Experience working in the non-profit/charitable sector in a leadership and/or project management role. - Experience with planning, budgeting, fundraising, and non-profit administration. - Experience with large-scale event planning. - Experience managing a staff. - Understanding of, and strong interest in the sport of fixed-seat rowing and the history and tradition of the Royal St. John\xe2\x80\x99s Regatta.\xc2\xa0 - Proficiency in general computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.), file sharing, social media and communication applications (Zoom).

Education:
  • Secondary School (required)
Experience:
  • Team management: 1 year (preferred)

  • CPR Certification (preferred)
