We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a particular focus on food preparation and service. The General Manager will be responsible for ensuring an outstanding guest experience while driving operational efficiency.
Duties
Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food production, service, and hospitality.
Manage and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional performance.
Implement training programmes for new hires in areas such as food safety, culinary techniques, and customer service.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas.
Develop menus in collaboration with culinary staff, focusing on quality ingredients and innovative dishes.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of food products.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and development.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for resolution that enhances guest satisfaction.
Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special events and menu offerings.
Requirements
Proven experience in a managerial role within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
Strong culinary skills with hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with guests and staff alike.
Experience in kitchen management or barista roles is advantageous.
A passion for delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
