Citadel Fence is a fast-moving and growing fence contractor focused on becoming the premier fence installation company in Atlantic Canada. We are looking to add a General Manager to our team in Moncton, New Brunswick. This position will oversee the day-to-day operations in both New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Citadel provides their clients with privacy and protection through the installation of chain-link, ornamental, wood and vinyl fences. Understanding that clients may have unique needs, Citadel collaborates with customers, industry partners and experienced professionals to provide the right product in every situation. Citadel has a culture that challenges its employees to improve, learn new skills and solve any issues brought forward by customers. The General Manager will help ensure that all field operations for the business are running smoothly and staff have the training, equipment, and materials needed for the successful completion of projects. They must be a manager who leads by example and enjoys working in the field alongside their team. Responsibilities:
Oversee fence installation crews and projects, recommend solutions that increase effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring results meet or exceed traditional quality standards
Creating new strategies for growth and putting them into practice
Assist HR with the hiring and onboarding of new employees
Assist with training and mentoring of crew members with various levels of experience on proper installation procedures and techniques
Assist sales team with recommending solutions for customers
Coordinate with office staff on scheduling, project management and project delivery
Foster strong working relationships with team members and clients to achieve the project goals and vision
Maintain open communication with clients, team members and other various stakeholders, responding to inquiries as required
Track and maintain inventory of supplies and materials
Ensure material storage yard and buildings are organized
Take steps to minimize any project risk and ensure that all work is performed according to health and safety standards
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a management role
Degree in Business Management or equivalent education
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead strong, collaborative teams
Strong understanding of constructions plans/blueprints
Strong customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate a smartphone/tablet
Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and the ability to meet travel requirements of the position
