About Us


Camp Canine is a fast-growing, community-focused dog daycare, grooming, and boarding company with locations in Toronto. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, fun, and clean environment where dogs thrive, and their owners feel confident leaving them in our care. We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized General Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a passionate team, drive sales, and ensure exceptional client and canine experiences.

Responsibilities

Operations Management



Oversee day-to-day operations of the daycare, grooming, and boarding services Ensure safety, cleanliness, and smooth playroom flow at all times Implement and monitor staff checklists, schedules, and protocols Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships

Team Leadership



Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff across all departments Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback Build a positive, collaborative culture aligned with Camp Canine values Manage staff scheduling, shift coverage, and payroll approvals

Client Services & Sales



Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service at the front desk and online Build strong client relationships through clear communication and follow-up Proactively resolve client concerns quickly and professionally Drive revenue through package sales, retail, grooming add-ons, and upselling daycare/boarding services Support and execute promotions, events, and loyalty programs to strengthen client engagement

Business Administration



Report directly to the owner on KPIs, sales performance, staffing, and client feedback Support financial goals through budgeting, efficiency, and revenue growth strategies Coordinate community engagement initiatives and client-facing events Enforce compliance with company policies, animal welfare regulations, and safety protocols
Requirements

Proven management experience (preferably in pet care, hospitality, or service industry) Strong leadership and people-management skills Excellent communication, client service, and sales abilities Passion for animals and commitment to their well-being Highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with scheduling, payroll, sales targets, and software systems (pet care booking platforms an asset) Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed

Pay: $19.50-$22.61 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
