Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dog Daycare Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our facility. In this role you will manage staff, ensure top?notch animal care, maintain health & safety protocols, admin support for our trainers, retail inventory and foster outstanding experiences for our doggy clients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train and supervise daycare staff; build and maintain a positive team culture Oversee daily dog playgroups, ensure safe interactions, monitor behaviour, and intervene when needed Be comfortable with all breeds of dogs ranging from 10-150lbs. Ensure facility cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of play areas, and equipment Manage retail and supplies inventory Interact with pet owners: check?in/out, answer questions, resolve concerns, promote add?on services Maintain records: report cards, staff performance Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dog handling, cleaning, emergency response Collaborate on marketing or retention initiatives as needed. Managing our instagram account. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, licensing, insurance and facility standards
Requirements & Qualifications

Love for working with dogs, strong understanding of canine behaviour and body language Previous experience in dog daycare, boarding or kennel environment (including supervisory or management experience) Knowledge of R+ positive reinforcement training, our training philosophies must align Proven ability to lead a team, train staff, and manage operations Strong customer service skills, ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and staff Highly organized, detail?oriented, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast?paced setting Physically capable of working on your feet most of the day, bending/kneeling, handling active dogs Ability to work flexible hours during the week Comfort with basic computer usage [Optional/Preferred] Certification in pet first aid/CPR, animal behaviour or relevant training
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 33 - 40 per week
