Job Description

Longawaited Acres / Lach Sod Farms is a family run business operating since 1955. We are the premier mineral sod supplier for Winnipeg & area, serving both the commercial & residential customers.We are currently accepting applications for the following position: General Farm Labourer.JOB PROFILE: Reporting to the Farm Manager, the farm labourer is responsible for carrying out day to day tasks in the fields.The job includes but shall not be restricted to:

  • Operating tractors, forklift, mower, other motorized equipment
  • Minor repairing & maintaining farm equipment
  • Assisting truck drivers with load/unload
  • Pallet repair & pallet pick-up
  • Field clean-up
  • Serving customers (residential & commercial)

On-job training will be provided - no experience requiredCandidates must have their own transportation. We are located 35 minutes north of the Perimeter HWY, in-between Stonewall & Balmoral on Road 84NHours: 50+ per weekStatus: Seasonal Full Time (start right away)Wage is dependent upon experience & qualificationsOnly applications with references will be seriously considered.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $17.00-$18.00 per hourSchedule:
  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
