General Laburer - Seasonal

This role will be responsible for conducting various tasks to support other workers in the warehouse, construction sites, and properties. They assist other crew members by delivering, moving and cleaning the materials and equipment necessary to complete projects on time.

Roles will fluctuate depending on the season but it is crucial those interested in this role are willing to help out with snow removal. This is a labour intensive winter activity and we need dedicated crew members to show up when storms occur.

Winter Labour Responsibilities

Snow Team Member, you will be responsible for the complete snow removal activities of the pre-designated

location in a timely and organized manner.

Such activities include (but are not limited to):

Previous experience using snow removing equipment is preferred. Knowledge of safe snow removal practices and procedures Ability to work in cold and challenging weather conditions for extended periods of time. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

24/7 on-call availability from Now until the end of winter (April 30th)

Clearing during/after snow events, Salting before and/or after snow/rain/ice events Loading transports for snow hauling; and General upkeep of the machinery Must have own means of transportation to commute to and from work $20-25 per hour salary depending on experience

General Labour Responsibilities

Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material Assist welders, carpenters, painters or other tradespeople on-site Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. drills and grinders) Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods) Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g. scaffolding) Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds etc.) Good hand-eye coordination Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus Communication and teamwork skills Commitment to safety rules Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessary

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
