Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our hotel team. The Handyman will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks to ensure the property remains safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas. Carry out minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, furniture, and appliances. Handle painting, patching, carpentry, and other general repair tasks. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Ensure all tools, equipment, and workspaces are kept clean and in safe working order. Assist with preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and repair costs. Monitor and report any major issues requiring specialized contractors. Support housekeeping and other departments with repairs or special projects as needed. Follow safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a related trade. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and work in varied conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts if required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment. Certification in a skilled trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is an asset.
