Please note this position is part of the Regional Program and would involve travel between various hospital locations in the Ottawa Valley region.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires an experienced individual with a demonstrated ability to manage the maintenance of a wide variety of clinical diagnostic equipment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on most types of clinical equipment
Construct and test devices required by hospital departments or research projects
Coordinate the duties at other Hospitals under contract to CHEO in Eastern Ontario, with minimal supervision.
Coordinate the maintenance of clinical equipment for specific programs at CHEO
Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
Minimum of one (1) year experience as Biomedical Engineering Technologist (Preferred)
Registration as an Engineering Technologist (CET) in Ontario with OACETT, or eligibility for registration within 12 months of hire (Essential)
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
Demonstrated strong organizational skills (Essential)
Electronics Engineering Technologist Diploma or Biomedical Engineering Technologist Diploma (Essential)
Certification as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist or eligibility (Essential)
Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of PCs hard & software & networks (Preferred)
Use of a personal vehicle and Ontario Drivers License (Essential)

Ce poste nxc3xa9cessite un ou une titulaire qui a de lexpxc3xa9rience ainsi que des compxc3xa9tences manifestes pour gxc3xa9rer lentretien dune grande varixc3xa9txc3xa9 dappareils de diagnostic clinique.
DESCRIPTION DU TRAVAIL
Dxc3xa9panner et rxc3xa9parer la plupart des types dappareils cliniques et en effectuer la maintenance prxc3xa9ventive.
Construire et mettre xc3xa0 lessai des dispositifs nxc3xa9cessaires aux services de lHxc3xb4pital et xc3xa0 des projets de recherche.
Coordonner les txc3xa2ches xc3xa0 accomplir dans dautres hxc3xb4pitaux de lEst de lOntario lixc3xa9s par contrat au CHEO, avec une supervision minime.
Coordonner la maintenance des appareils cliniques de programmes bien prxc3xa9cis du CHEO.
Accomplir dautres txc3xa2ches selon les besoins.
