Shell Aviation (SAV) operates in over 60 countries. On average, SAV refuels an aircraft every 14 seconds. SAV leads Aviation strategy for Shell PLC by selling Jet fuel (commercial and military grades), avgas, turbine and piston engine lubricants, engine fluids and greases, sustainable aviation fuel and carbon offsets, technical and digital services to the industry across the globe. This role is part of the HSSE, Operations & Technical (HOT) team within SAV in Canada.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the fueling and tank farm operations of Fixed Based Operations (FBO) locations in Western Canada. Through agency contracts, the GAOM indirectly supervises frontline workers and is responsible for the HSSE performance, operating and capital expenses, and profitability (P&L) of each location.

Accountabilities:

• Demonstrate visible safety leadership. Collaborate with Regional HSSE Manager to implement HSSE&SP MS
• Develop and deliver site specific HSSE plan with stakeholders. Ensure adherence to incident reporting procedures
• Responsible for License to Operate by adhering to all Shell, Airport Authority and regulatory requirements, including competency of frontline workers
• Provide assurances to demonstrate compliance to all Shell, Airport Authority and regulatory requirements via delivering LOD 1, 2, 3 programs
• Collaborate with Compliance and Engineering to ensure inspections are conducted timely to identify non-conformances and deliver gap closure plans and alternate means of compliance
• Jointly responsible for airport profitability by working with Airport Optimizers and Account Managers to optimize operating cost and margin
• Establish target inventory range within E2E supply chain and manage inventory loss and gains at each location
• Manage relationship and contracts with agents and service providers. Lead agency and lease contract negotiations and execute contracts
• Support customer portfolio with fit for purpose Operations Excellence CVP. Support asset efficiency and productivity via fleet utilization data, data analysis of tools and processes, risk-based asset maintenance, data capture system, etc

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years frontline operations or commercial experiences
• Preferably a technical or commercial degree. Experience in the aviation industry would be a strong edge
• Ability to work effectively remotely and virtually whilst juggling 30-40% business travel and provide 24/7 operational support (example: emergency and operational issues on weekends
• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
