General Accountant

PURPOSE:

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain all accounting processes for Ideal Warehouse Innovations and related companies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(the incumbent may be asked to perform any combination of the following functions):

Financial Statements, Accounting, Reporting and Account Analysis

1. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and summary report in the prescribed format by the Nth working day of each month

2. Assist with the preparation and review key general ledger accounts monthly (lead sheets)

3. Process monthly adjusting journal entries

4. Perform monthly inventory ledgers reconciliation

5. Assist with maintaining Fixed Asset schedules and process monthly depreciation entries

6. Assist with Year-end reviews

7. Assist with uploading annual budgets into Business Central

Cash and Banking

1. Perform weekly and month-end reconciliation of all bank accounts

2. Prepare Bank compliance reports each month

Other Support

1. Multi-functional support in areas as required (Customer Billing. Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable)

2. Assist with monthly HST and WSIB filings

3. Assist with Duty drawback report

4. Assist with US Sales report at year end

5. Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE ):

1. At least 2-3 years of intermediate accounting experience

2. Business Central experience preferred

3. Strong Excel skills

4. Power BI and Jet reports nice to have

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
