We're Hiring: General Accountant

We're looking for a General Accountant who's confident working across a variety of accounting functions. From journal entries to inventory reconciliation and financial reporting, you'll play a key role in ensuring clean, accurate, and timely financials. This position offers a great mix of hands-on tasks and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Be Doing

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, expenses, and balance sheet items Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank transactions and intercompany accounts Assist with monthly close processes and financial statement preparation Monitor inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS); produce regular reports and analysis Maintain subsidiary ledgers and prepare supporting schedules Verify and process accounts payable and receivable entries Support GST/HST, WSIB, and EHT filings Assist with payroll-related accounting and month-end accruals Support the finance team with audits, year-end prep, and ad hoc reporting Help manage data in accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online and others) Ensure proper filing, record keeping, and compliance with internal controls

What You Bring to the Table

3+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment Solid knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and month-end processes Experience with QuickBooks Online and inventory systems Strong Excel skills: you're comfortable with pivot tables and data organization Detail-oriented mindset and a knack for spotting discrepancies Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation (or actively working toward it) is a must Familiarity with ERP implementations is a bonus
