This reputable business\'s Accounting Clerk position handles matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). The General Accountant position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the St Catharines, Ontario, area. In this position, you will get terrific benefits, a wonderful work space/office, and a dynamic team culture.Major responsibilities- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned- Add financial information to journals and ledgers- General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- General familiarity with budget forecasting- Practical knowledge of Cash Flow Forecasts- Data entry experience preferred- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel- Invoice Processing experience- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required- Deep understanding of billing- Demonstrated knowledge of QuickBooks- Solid understanding of account reconciliation- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgroundsRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
