DescriptionGeneral Accountant
North York
Pay Range: $31.25/hr - $38.46/hrDuties:50% Accounts PayablePrepare Capital Expenditure Requests for approval, track capital expenditures, and record monthly depreciation and amortization journal entries.
Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including balancing all intercompany accounts monthly.
Handle complex AP processes (example: large POs)
15% Accounts ReceivableComplete AR Aging reporting and collections
Work with collections team to understand collections status
Address and attack risks
Attend corporate collections meetings
10% Inventory Cycle CountsCoordinate obsolete inventory accounting with operations associates to ensure that the obsolete inventory reserve is adequate and inventory values on the balance sheet are accurate.
Conduct FX analysis and forecasting, as well as inventory reporting.
Assist with inventory cycle counts and inventory costing analysis
Coordinate obsolete inventory accounting with operations associates to ensure that the obsolete inventory reserve is adequate and inventory values on the balance sheet are accurate.
10% Month-end activitiesComplete assigned tasks as a regular part of the month-end closing process in accordance with the established schedule.
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions related to each month-end close.
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial packages, tax packages, year-end audit/annual report, and any additional reporting/analytical reviews requested by management.
