Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and versatile Garden Center Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist customers, maintain the garden center's appearance, and perform basic handyperson tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.

Responsibilities:

Assist customers with their selections and inquiries Stock, organize, and maintain plants, gardening supplies, and other merchandise Water, prune, and care for plants as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the garden center and outdoor areas Perform basic handyman duties, including repair and maintenance tasks such as fixing fences, shelves, or equipment; minor plumbing, irrigation or electrical work; and assembling displays Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently Assist in loading and unloading deliveries Follow safety guidelines and company policies

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a garden center, retail, or maintenance environment preferred Basic handyperson skills with the ability to complete simple repairs and maintenance Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong customer service skills Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor
