Gantry Assembler (temporary Position)

Job Description
Job Summary
The Gantry Assembler is responsible for fabricating and assembling CNC machine gantry, machining tubes, legs, and carriage as well as carrying out manual and automated machining tasks to support production schedules. This position is also responsible for coordinating with inventory control to ensure the availability of stock for current as well as projected needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Follows the procedures for maintaining the gantry machines. Completes work in a safe manner. Fabricates and assembles CNC machine gantry. Recognizes and reports instances of non-conformance. Performs routine machine maintenance. Ensures Quality of adequate levels of assembled parts Assembles components to complete gantry fabrication according to the drawings. Completes administrative time allocation tasks. Operating the Milhaus and gantry machine as per schedule. Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
Minimum 2 years' assembly experience required. Experience in machine assembly using power tools. Experience with measuring instruments such as calipers. Ability to interpret assembly drawings. Able to perform basic machine maintenance. Strong attention to detail. Organized Team player. Able to bend and work on the ground as needed. Able to lift and move materials up to 22 kilos.
