Aboriginal Funeral Chapel & Kilcollins Cremation Service

, a family-owned service provider is seeking a casual Funeral Service Host/Hostess to join our team.

We are looking to fill this position with a qualified, action orientated and self-motivated individual who is capable of prioritizing and handling multiple demands simultaneously.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supporting the necessary functions of the reception room and funeral home.

Meeting and surpassing the needs and expectations of the families we serve.

Proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.

Ensuring the interior of the funeral home is cleaned, organized and tidy during and after the funeral service and reception has ended.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required for this role:

Experience in funeral service or in a dining room setting is an asset but not required

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience; possess an interest in people.

High level of compassion and integrity.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanor

Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations gracefully

Starting hourly rate will be $20.00 and the duration of most shifts are between five and eight hours per event, one to three times per month, depending on your availability.
