Funeral Service Representative

at Assumption Catholic Funeral Home, located in Mississauga, ON. This position reports directly to the Funeral Home Manager and/or senior Funeral Director on duty. The Funeral Service Representative is to provide exceptional and professional service to families and their guests, during their funeral services and as they gather to share a meal in our funeral home. Duties and Responsibilities:



Provide CCFS families and their guests with exceptional, professional and courteous service during all funeral visitations and services, meetings and events throughout our facility(s). Greet and direct families and visitors in attendance for funeral visitations and/or funeral services while at the receiving area of the funeral home, in a professional and courteous manner. Perform some administrative duties that may include: filing, answering a multi-line phone, uploading pictures onto DVDs, printing prayer cards. Provide accurate information to all phone inquiries regarding active CCFS Funeral Services, operational hours, funeral home directions, etc. Re-direct calls as required. Assist Funeral Home Staff in the preparation of visitations, masses, funerals and events Set up, clean, and reset reception rooms as directed. This may include but is not limited to serving stations, setting tables, housekeeping duties, etc. Monitor all food orders upon delivery and address any discrepancies/food shortages Replenish refreshments, food and supplies throughout the reception or event Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food Assist with general light housekeeping duties for all common areas throughout our facilities Ability to work as a team and communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure an optimal experience is delivered and our guests' needs are being always met

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Energetic, team-oriented, self-motivated and capable of prioritizing and handling multiple demands simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Minimum of 1 year of front desk and food serving experience and/or hospitality sector experience Safe Food Handling Certification is an asset or the ability to obtain certification is required Strong administrative, organizational, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Physical aspects include: ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs; bending, twisting; constant standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; occasionally kneel, push and pull. Valid Ontario G License and a clear Driver's Abstract, both in good standing A Clear Police Clearance Record

This position requires flexibility during day, afternoon, and evening shifts as well as availability during weekends. The incumbent must be able to commit to

3 shifts during the week and be available during weekends.
