Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding families through the funeral planning process with empathy and professionalism. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional service during a sensitive time, ensuring that all arrangements are handled with care and respect.

Responsibilities

Meet with families to discuss their needs and preferences for funeral services. Prepare the deceased for viewing, including embalming, dressing, and casketing. Coordinate logistics for funerals, including transportation, venue arrangements, and necessary permits. Provide support and guidance to families throughout the entire process, addressing any questions or concerns. Manage sales of funeral services and merchandise while maintaining a respectful approach. Maintain accurate records of all services provided and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the funeral home. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of caskets and other equipment as needed.

Experience

Previous experience as a Funeral Director or in a related field is preferred. Strong sales skills to effectively communicate service options to families. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks associated with preparing the deceased and setting up services. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with grieving families while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of funeral service regulations and practices is beneficial.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
