Job Summary



The Fund Development Specialist is responsible for the management and implementation of agency-wide efforts to raise money in support of Archway Society for Domestic Peace, and the clients we serve. With the support of the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team, the Fund Development Specialist reaches Society's strategic fundraising and development goals.

The Fund Development Specialist communicates the Society's mission to funders, donors and the community at large; develops relationships with donors and manages the full-cycle grant writing process.

Education, Training and Experience:



Degree in a related field - communications, marketing, business, or public relations

Three years experience in a lead fundraising role (including campaign and donor management experience)

One-year supervisory experience

An equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience will be considered

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



Understanding of and demonstrated skills and ability to work from an intersectional feminist perspective

Excellent relationship building, communication, and organizational skills

Extensive knowledge of donor management, fundraising principles and techniques and knowledge of the technical aspects of planned giving vehicles

Key Responsibilities and Duties:



Works collaboratively with the Leadership team to develop an overall fund development strategy aimed at increasing revenue from individuals, corporations, government entities and foundations. Creates a detailed work plan which includes both short and long-term goals, specific actionable steps and deliverables, and a process for monitoring and evaluating the success of the program Prepares and delivers fundraising presentations to donors, funders and community members as required. Researches prospects and develops solicitation strategies, identifies and manages a portfolio of major donors and prospects, develops and implements tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans. Meets with major donors, keeps them updated on recent events; cultivates donor relations to sustaining donor support. Develops and executes an effective partnership program to cultivate and maintain long-term event sponsors and strategic partners. Leads signature events; works with Society committees, volunteers, members of the Board and other professionals to execute key events. Ensures that donations, in-kind gifts and selected grants are securely and promptly received, and recognition letters are sent in a timely manner reflecting the Society's gratitude for the gift. Develops, oversees, and effectively utilizes scalable fund development tools including donor management software, to accurately record prospect/donor activity and other relevant data in a timely fashion. Manages the full-cycle grant writing process, from research, application, and final reporting. Collaborates with other members of the Society in the creation and production of materials that support fundraising activities (brochures, press releases, newsletters, annual reports, social media campaigns, collateral, etc.) Performs other related duties as required.
Additional Job Requirements:

A clear criminal records check, as well as an enhanced security clearance.

A valid driver's license and availability of personal vehicle for work purposes.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
