Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Assist in the planning of menus and meal preparation schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, specials, and operational improvements.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation or cooking within the food industry or restaurant setting. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals that delight customers.
