Full-Time Sports League Manager Position

About Average Joe Sports Club:

Average Joe Sports Club runs recreational sports leagues/tournaments for adults in the Hamilton/Burlington/Oakville/Milton/Mississauga/Toronto area. Please check out www.averagejoesports.ca for more details.

The Position:

The areas of responsibilities will be as follows:

Managing of all sports leagues in a given geographic area

Providing excellent customer service to members

Marketing of Average Joe leagues, tournaments and programs

Making schedules leading up to the start of seasons

Applying for and managing inventory of venues

Managing social media accounts

On-site supervision of league games

Working together as an office team to achieve group goals

Other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

The schedule will vary but it is expected that it will mostly be afternoons and evenings Monday - Friday (with the possibility of the occasional Saturday).

Requirements:

Outgoing, "people-person" personality with a passion for sports

Energetic and enthusiastic

Well organized

Detail-oriented

Access to a car is a must

University or college degree/diploma

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience in sports is an asset

A sports management/admin degree is an asset

The successful candidate should be familiar with a wide range of sports

Compensation:

First year total compensation $45,000 - $55,000.
