Saskatoon Prairieland Park Corporation currently requires a Manager for Sports on Tap to join our team. Reporting to the Director, O & M and Sports on Tap you will oversee all aspects of the bar's operations.

Our sports bar is the ultimate hangout spot for fans to enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment while cheering on their favorite teams. We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and passionate Sports Bar Manager to lead our team and create an exceptional experience for our guests.

Position Overview:
Sports on Tap Manager will oversee staff management, customer service, inventory control, managing budgets and revenues, and ensuring a lively and fun atmosphere. If you're a strong leader with a love for sports, great food, and a fast-paced environment, this is the job for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the sports bar, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction
• Monitor facility operations and ensure cleanliness of the facility
• Lead, train, and motivate bar staff, ensuring excellent service and team cohesion
• Monitor inventory and order equipment and supplies as needed, while maintaining cost control
• Coordinate and promote events (game nights, happy hours, etc.) to drive customer traffic
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, as well as corporate policies
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues to maintain a positive guest experience
• Collaborate with the Director, O & M and Sports on Tap to create a menu that complements the bar atmosphere
• Manage cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial reporting
• Oversee relationships with suppliers; negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers; manage service and supply contracts
• Oversee and participate in personnel matters pertaining to departmental staff, including hiring, orientation and training, disciplinary action, performance evaluation, payroll and workplace health and safety in collaboration with Human Resources

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality industry, ideally in a sports bar or similar environment
• Knowledge of food & beverage industry standards
• Passion for sports, with knowledge of major games and events to create an exciting, energetic atmosphere
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on team development
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle fast-paced situations
• Knowledge of inventory control, cash handling, and budgeting
• Fluent in Word, Excel, and Point of Sale terminals
• WHMIS Certification, Food Safe Level 1 and 2 Certification, Serve it Right Certification
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
