We are seeking a Full Time Banquet Floor Manager. The Banquet Floor Manager is part of the Food & Beverage Supervisory Team of the Club, and oversees the Banquets department of the Glencoe Club. As the Banquet Floor Manager, you will develop and monitor a Banquets team focused on delivering a high level of service at functions that exceeds member expectations. In this role, you're bringing the events planned by our Event Services Team to life. You dig deep into the Banquet Event Order (BEO) to make sure all the details the members are expecting come to reality at their event. From coordinating setup, to managing expediting in the Banquet kitchen, to leading on-floor service, you will deliver exceptional experiences in all that you do and will constantly aspire to create a second home environment for our members, guests and employees.

Responsibilities:



Lead on-floor Banquet team in executing events such as business meetings, sports league socials, weddings, galas, corporate retreats and other member events as required Lead by example continually providing extraordinary?service to members and their guests during events and banquets Meet with Event Coordinators, Kitchen and F&B team regarding review of function sheet and event details Ensure rooms are properly set including cleanliness, state of repair, decoration, room temperature, audio visual requirements and that staff responsible for the event are aware of all food beverage and service requirements prior to the event. Constant communication with Kitchen throughout event regarding timing, numbers, menu and feedback Lead pre-shift before large events assigning roles and outlining expectations Facilitate and participate in giving/receiving feedback with staff as a group following each function and overall to support continuous improvement Deliver comprehensive training programs tailored for both new hires and existing staff to ensure high performance and consistency Support a culture of high performance through regular coaching and constructive performance feedback for staff Strategically schedule appropriate staff for all functions, effectively balancing cost efficiency with exceptional service standards. Responsible for the hiring of banquet staff Consistently attend weekly Food & Beverage meetings and monthly Club Supervisor meetings to maintain alignment with departmental goals and operational updates Depending on business levels this position may act as a Team Lead in Argyle (restaurant)

Qualifications:



A proven track record in on-floor banquet management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity at a private club, food and beverage establishment, event company or hotel. A passion for events of all kinds! Experience in the delivery of food and beverage banquet excellence within a fast-paced environment A diplomatic personality and enhanced communication skills, able to foster relationships with members, committees and employees Strong leadership skills focused on inspiring employees to provide their best, be organized and deliver exceptional experiences Ability to influence progress through cooperation, conflict resolution, and facilitation Proven ability to enhance team performance, through mentorship, effective organization?and training Strong organizational and administrative skills with confidence to create and implement new processes?and systems to elevate events

Additional Details:



This is a Full Time position that reports to the Food & Beverage Manager. The successful candidate may be required to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays, so a flexible schedule is required.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace online certifications prior to commencing employment.
