FSQA Co-ordinator should be able to work independently and within a team environment, demonstrates sound decision-making aptitude and will also be responsible for:
1. Lead the SQF project by implementing, verifying, validating, and maintaining the SQF system.
2. Responsible to ensure adequate resources are available to achieve food safety objectives and support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the SQF System.
3. Participate Health and Safety program in the plant.
4. Responsible for document control within the SQF system and implementation in our facilities.
5. Lead and perform all SQF certification and recertification audits.
6. Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with our Consultant.
7. Maintains work areas in a sanitized and orderly manner in compliance with regulations.
8. Supervising our SQF procedures by conducting and/or evaluating various product tests, and operational procedures to meet specifications.
9. Perform internal audits and program, and performing internal audits
10. The position will assist in inspections and audits by regulatory agencies (FDA, CFEA, CFIA), customers, and third-party agencies (SQF)
11. Ensure compliance with product specifications, labeling, and regulatory standards
12. Handle customer complaint investigations, resolution and tracking
13. Maintain vendor approval program by requesting updated and new documents; perform supplier audit.
14. Train team members in GFSI and SQF (HACCP, GMP, PRP, SOP, WHMIS).
15. Perform various miscellaneous and non-standard duties as required.
16. Provide regular reporting to upper management on SQF & other Health & Safety issues.
17. Work in compliance with ETG Commodities Inc. Occupational Health and Safety Policy.
Employment Qualification and Requirements:
Knowledge of Food Safety Practices, Safety Programs and HACCP.
HACCP and SQF Certified preferred.
Internal Auditor Certified preferred.
Knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
Knowledge of labeling and nutritional contents as it pertains to FDA and USDA.
