Front-Line Support Worker



Friendship Inn Support Housing



Full time / Part time / Casual $22.09/hr. - $26.09/hr.



This position requires individuals with knowledge of health and social determinants, specific to our clients that have experienced homelessness. The Front Line Support Worker works in a team environment and is expected to provide specific support to clients who access our suites at the Friendship Inn. Specifically, this role provides day to day support, crisis support, and referrals to community based programming, skill training and development advocacy.


SCOPE OF POSITION



Establish and maintain safe and clean environment of the facility Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility Provide and be available for client communications One-on-one support and group facilitation of sharing information Advocate and/or mediate on behalf of clients Participate in Case Management to assist clients to transition to independence



QUALIFICATIONS



Grade 12 Certification: First Aid, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (NVCI, CPI) Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe; or the willingness to obtain after hire Valid Driver's License and a Class 4 is an asset Basic computer skills and

excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of the traditional territory Indigenous culture Must clear criminal record check Knowledge of Trauma -Informed Practices Be available to work all shifts in a 24-hour facility
