Job Description

The

Front Office Supervisor

plays a key leadership role in the Front Office team, ensuring exceptional guest experiences from arrival to departure. This position oversees and supports front desk and reservations staff, promoting excellence in customer service, operational efficiency, and teamwork. The Supervisor acts as a role model for the team--leading by example, resolving guest concerns promptly, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities



Lead, train, and motivate Front Desk and Reservations team members to consistently deliver outstanding guest service. Supervise daily shift operations, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards. Maintain a positive, professional, and welcoming atmosphere in all guest interactions. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests efficiently and courteously. Support the Front Office Manager with staff scheduling, training, and performance feedback. Review and verify guest billing, invoices, and payment instructions for accuracy and compliance. Assist with yield management strategies, group bookings, and promotional programs to maximize occupancy and revenue. Coordinate effectively with other departments including Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Reservations to ensure smooth operations. Ensure all check-in/check-out procedures, phone calls, and messages are handled promptly and professionally. Uphold safety and security protocols, reporting any concerns or suspicious activity. Take responsibility for Front Office operations in the absence of management. Attend meetings and participate in cross-departmental initiatives as assigned. Perform other duties as required to support the guest experience and department objectives. Cross train and be available for emergency shift coverage pertaining to Front Desk, Reservations, and Night Audit

Qualifications & Requirements



Minimum of

1 year experience

as a Front Desk Representative or similar hospitality role.

Supervisory experience

in a hotel setting considered a strong asset.

High School Diploma

required; post-secondary education in Hospitality or Business preferred. Proficient in

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

and property management systems. Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Excellent multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Work Conditions



Standing for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. Requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional kneeling, stooping, or bending during shift duties.

Pay: $20.60 per hour
