We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Shift Supervisor to lead our front of house team. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth restaurant operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service is required, and experience supervising staff in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant supervisory management, hospitality, or hotel experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and POS systems such as Toast POS. Responsibilities
Supervise daily front-of-house operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company standards.
Lead and motivate team members, including providing training to new staff, and ensuring the daily operations run smoothly, assigned tasks to others and other side projects.
Oversee food handling, serving, and food safety protocols to maintain compliance with health regulations.
Manage cash handling procedures accurately using POS systems.
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant management.
Monitor cleanliness and organization of the dining area to create a welcoming environment.
Assist with hosting and assisting servers as needed to support team operations.
Uphold hospitality standards by demonstrating leadership in food industry best practices, including food safety and hospitality excellence.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management roles.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with serving, hosting, and food handling procedures.
Proficiency in POS systems such as Toast POS; cash handling experience is valued.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the food industry.
Previous restaurant experience is required; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
Ability to work evenings and weekends is required
Strong communication skills for supervising staff and interacting with guests.
