Front Desk Manager

Regina, SK, Canada

Job Description

We've all checked into a hotel and been greeted by someone at Front Desk with a great big smile and a whole lot of knowledge about the property you're at and the city you're visiting. So, who is responsible for this ever-so-important first impression you've experienced? The Front Desk Manager; that's who.

Here at The Atlas Hotel, our passion is to become Regina's favorite hotel. We are independent, locally-owned, homegrown, and pride ourselves on investing in our property, fostering an amazing team, and creating exceptional experiences for our guests. Our Front Office Manager is a focal point in our property's operations and is responsible for the people, the processes and the protocols that welcome every single person visiting us here at The Atlas Hotel.

Our ideal candidate for this role will take a hands-on approach to keep our Front Office on the path to excellence. We expect the successful candidate to have 1-3 years of experience within a management or supervisor role, or has 5+ years of Front Desk or hospitality experience. Here's a bit more about what we're looking for:

  • Someone who is computer and tech savvy - there's a lot of technology and hospitality software systems involved in this role.
  • A King/Queen of follow up and follow through - if there's ever a department where we need to communicate, make notes, cross t's and dot i's; this is it.
  • Experience with our property management system Opera would be advantageous.
  • Previous hospitality or Front Desk experience; so you can hit the ground running.
  • A "go getter" who's not afraid to be hands on. If you're looking for a relaxed Monday - Friday office job... this isn't it! Working weekends and even the odd evening is to be expected in this role.
  • Someone who thrives on providing fantastic customer service and isn't afraid to resolve a complaint here or there.
  • An aptitude for administrative duties such as scheduling, approving time off, etc.
  • The ability to manage the budget for this department.
  • A "people person" who can engage the team, complete staff evaluations as they arise, and provide direction to the Crew when needed.
Of course there's a plethora of other administrative items and the typical day-to-day operations which you'll be responsible for, but those are pretty hard to sum up in a job ad.

If you thrive on multitasking, have an "I got this" attitude, are willing to go above + beyond, and fastidiousness could be your middle name, you just might be the glass slipper that's a perfect fit for this Cinderella (yes, we just made that comparison in a job ad. We like to have fun around here when we can)!

If you're ready to take on a diverse role with plenty of room for growth and advancement, visit and tell us why you should be our newest member of The Atlas Crew.
