As Front Desk Manager, You Will

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front desk. Including scheduling, staff relations, including dealing with staff conflict or issues, dealing with guest issues or complaints
  • Ensure the proper image is being maintained by all Team Members with respect to grooming and uniform standards
  • Provide support, guidance, mentorship, coaching to front desk team
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with all departments of the hotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service
  • Work with Housekeeping/Maintenance manager to establish and implement a preventative maintenance program for function rooms, equipment, and prep areas.
  • Maintain a personal organization system for files and paperwork
  • Update and maintain Corporate and VIP guest profiles, contact information, rates, preferences, etc
  • Establish and implement weekly checklists for maintaining cleanliness of front desk, lobby, kitchen areas to ensure meeting spaces meet hotel standards
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff. Assign and instruct staff in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement
  • Anticipate guests\xe2\x80\x99 needs, respond promptly to, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
  • Always maintain positive guest and employee relations. Ensure employees are pushing guests for reviews.
  • Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Provide excellent service consistent with property\xe2\x80\x99s core service standards and attributes.
  • Develop relationships with clients, return guests, group contacts, etc. to provide maximum personalized guest service.
  • Respond to guest service interactions in a professional and timely manner, achieving positive resolutions.
  • Resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest\xe2\x80\x99s satisfaction.
  • Be knowledgeable of Hotel and surrounding area information to answer guest inquiries.
  • Ensure quality guest service at every point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations.
  • Manage all administrational duties as specified.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned and required

What You Bring
  • Front desk experience in a Hotel environment
  • Food Handling and Responsible Beverage Certificate is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and Point of Sales systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while establishing and achieving daily and weekly goals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
