Vitality Fitness is a premium fitness center in Burnaby, dedicated to providing top-of-the-line equipment, professional training support, and a welcoming community atmosphere. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our members and guests. This role is essential in creating a positive experience at the gym by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a genuine passion for fitness and community.
Duties
Greet and assist members, guests, and staff with a warm and professional demeanor.
Manage member check-ins, bookings, and class registrations using gym management software.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility by performing scheduled walk-throughs of the gym floor, ensuring equipment is tidy, and promptly addressing any issues.
Answer multi-line phone systems, respond to emails, and direct inquiries promptly.
Process payments and maintain accurate transaction records.
Assist with membership sales, renewals, and customer account updates.
Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Support daily gym operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Provide outstanding customer support by addressing inquiries and resolving issues quickly.
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless front desk and facility operations.
Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools for scheduling, communication, and reporting.
Experience
Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role is required.
Familiarity with gym, hospitality, or office management practices is an asset.
Experience with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation is required.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
Bilingual candidates are highly desirable to better serve our diverse membership community.
Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools, is necessary.
Experience with gym or membership management software is a plus but not mandatory.
A proactive, reliable, and energetic individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment.
