Front Desk / Guest Services Representative positions are available at the Quality Inn & SuitesVancouver Downtown. An exciting hotel located in the heart of Vancouver\'s entertainment district. The Guest Services Representative must have a friendly and welcoming attitude. While standard duties include guest check-in and check-out, in this position you will also be responsible for ensuring 100% satisfaction from the moment guests arrive at the hotel until they check out, take and check room reservations, and have constant guest relations. The successful candidate will have a friendly personality and a "can do" attitude. A minimum of one year of previous hotel experience is preferred but not required. The candidate must possess excellent guest service and communication skills, both verbal and written. This position is perfect for someone who has a passion for guest service, problem resolution and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Abilities required:
Knowledge of ChoiceAdvantage property management system
Prior Hotel Front Desk experience is an asset
Maintain a balanced float assigned by the hotel and balance the all transactions at the close of each shift
Excellent knowledge of the city, restaurants, shopping and attractions
Able to communicate with guests in a pleasing manner in a variety of situations
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows applications
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong organization skills and able to multi-task
The candidate must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends along with both 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm shifts. Must be a people person, but most of all, you must be able to work well in a team environment. The ability to speak additional languages is an advantage.
