Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in sales, communication, and organizational management within a dynamic retail setting. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are considered advantageous for this position.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases in a professional manner Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer experience and sales Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure products are properly stocked Provide product demonstrations when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to customers Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during peak hours Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus Familiarity with POS systems and retail merchandising practices is advantageous Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks during busy periods

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
