Job Summary

Freshslice Pizza is seeking energetic, reliable, and customer-focused Team Members to join our location at

5222 130th Avenue SE, Calgary

. This role involves food preparation, customer service, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and efficient store environment. Ideal candidates are dependable, experienced in food service, and capable of working independently while maintaining high safety and service standards.

Shift Availability & Schedule

We are hiring for the following shifts starting in

January

:
Morning shifts:

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM

(2-3 shifts per week).
Evening shifts:

4:00 PM to close

on

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday

.
Availability for December is

not required

, as December will be dedicated to training only and not regular scheduled shifts.

Compensation

Starting wage is

$15.00 per hour plus tips

.
For skilled team members who demonstrate accuracy, reliability, and strong performance, wages may increase up to

$16.50 per hour

.

Responsibilities

Prepare pizzas and food items according to Freshslice standards and food safety guidelines. Operate POS systems to process orders and handle cash transactions accurately. Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service at all times. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the store, prep areas, and equipment. Open and

safely close the store

, including completing end-of-day procedures.

Work independently during solo shifts, including closing the store alone in a safe and responsible manner.

Multitask efficiently and

prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance

during busy periods. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Assist with inventory restocking and general store organization.

Qualifications & Experience

Strong English language skills are required. Applicants must be able to communicate clearly in English with customers, coworkers, and management. Do not apply if you are unable to communicate effectively in English.

Food service experience is

strongly preferred

. Experience in pizza preparation, quick-service restaurants, or similar environments is an asset. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when working alone. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong customer service and communication skills. Basic math skills for cash handling and POS use. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Reliable, punctual, and capable of safely handling solo closing responsibilities.
