Roberts Street Pizza is a fast-paced, community-loved pizza shop serving handmade pizzas with fresh, quality ingredients since 1997. We're looking for a reliable, motivated team member to support our daytime operations, with a strong focus on prep, opening duties, and daytime pizza service.

Position Overview

We're hiring a

Pizza Team Member

to support both weekday and weekend daytime service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys earlier shifts, staying organized, and setting the team up for a successful day.

Once we reopen, we plan to be open daily starting at

12:00 pm

. This role will be key in preparing the shop for service and handling daytime orders. Shifts typically start between

11:00 am and 12:00 pm

and may run as late as

8:00 pm

, depending on business needs.

Training Notice

Roberts Street Pizza will be closed

January 5-20

. During this time, the successful candidate will be trained at our

Little Town Pizza - Chemainus

location.

If we hire someone immediately, training may also be provided in

Ladysmith

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to training locations Limited transportation assistance maybe available for the two-week Chemainus training period if needed

Key Responsibilities

Daytime prep shifts, especially on weekends (ingredients, toppings, dough, stocking) Opening the shop and preparing for daily service Cooking pizzas and handling daytime orders once open Operating POS, handling payments, and providing friendly customer service Keeping dishes caught up throughout the shift Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including ongoing cleaning while on shift Following food safety, sanitation, and health standards Maintaining food quality and consistency Supporting smooth transitions into evening shifts when needed Communicating prep levels and any issues to management
Scheduling & Hours

3-5 days per week

Primarily daytime and early evening shifts Part-time to start, with

full-time available fairly quickly

for the right candidate based on performance and reliability
What We're Looking For

Availability for daytime, early evening, and weekend shifts

1 year of kitchen experience preferred but not required

Comfortable working independently during quieter daytime hours Strong time management and organizational skills Reliable, punctual, and able to follow opening checklists Able to lift up to

40 lbs

and remain on your feet for most of the shift Willingness to help wherever needed (prep, dishes, cleaning, orders) Interest in growing with the company and taking on more responsibility over time
