Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our team. As a French Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating learning environment where students can develop their language skills and cultural understanding. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about teaching French and making a positive impact on students' lives.

Job type: permanent, part-time, or contract-based

Location: UBC campus (near Norma Rose Elementary School and UHill elementary school) or/and South Surry/White Rock campus

Time: 3 pm or 3:30 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Friday; Saturday morning 10-11am.

Start date: Sept 2025 to June 2026.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students Teach fun, interactive French lessons to different student groups ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Communicate regularly with program staff and parents regarding student participation and progress.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in Education, French, or a related field. Previous experience teaching or tutoring French to children. Familiarity with the BC Core French Curriculum and The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Experience teaching French at the elementary level is preferred First Aid Certification and ECEA Certification are assets. A clear criminal record check is required upon hiring.
