Akshar Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced
French Teacher
to join our Language Department. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for language instruction, at least
7 years of teaching experience
, and a strong performance on both the
Test d'Evaluation de Francais (TEF)
and the
Test de Connaissance du Francais (TCF)
.
This role involves teaching French to students at various proficiency levels--from beginners to advanced--in an engaging, inclusive, and culturally rich environment. The successful candidate will design lesson plans, assess student progress, and contribute to the overall academic development of our learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning:
Design and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to students' language levels and learning needs.
Language Instruction:
Teach core French skills--speaking, reading, writing, and listening--using a range of teaching strategies.
Cultural Integration:
Incorporate aspects of French culture, history, and current events to enrich language learning.
Assessment & Evaluation:
Develop and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to measure student progress.
Student Support:
Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students meet their academic goals.
Classroom Management:
Foster a positive, supportive, and collaborative classroom environment.
Curriculum Development:
Contribute to the creation and improvement of curriculum and instructional materials in alignment with educational standards.
Use of Technology:
Integrate digital tools and multimedia resources to enhance lesson engagement.
Professional Development:
Stay current with best practices in language instruction and participate in ongoing training.
Extracurricular Engagement:
Lead activities such as French clubs, cultural events, or language immersion trips to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field (
Master's preferred
).
Valid teaching certification or licensure in French language instruction.
Fluency in French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of
7 years of experience teaching French
, ideally at the middle or high school level.
Strong scores on the
TEF
and
TCF
exams.
Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively and engage diverse learners.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to supporting a positive and inclusive school culture.
