Westmont Montessori School, a highly regarded independent school with a rich history spanning over 60 years, is seeking a part-time French teacher to join our diverse and dynamic team for the 2025-26 school year. This role involves teaching French from Early Primary to Grade 10. The successful candidate will participate in an innovative educational setting that emphasizes experiential learning, from physical activities in nature to high-performance teamwork projects and real-world engagements.

Responsibilities:

Deliver French language instruction that aligns with Montessori methodologies and our progressive educational model. Engage students by connecting classroom lessons to global and local explorations. Utilize varied instructional strategies catered to individual student needs, fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education with a specialization in French, and current BC Certification. Experience in French instruction is required, with additional consideration given to candidates holding other relevant qualifications. Strong interpersonal skills with proficiency in classroom and behavior management. Capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented and innovative educational setting. Committed to ongoing professional development and fluent in the latest teaching technologies and 21st Century Learning skills. Current First Aid Certificate.
