This role is ideal for a dynamic educator who understands the high-stakes nature of French proficiency testing in the immigration process. You will play a key role in helping students achieve their target TEF scores by delivering focused instruction, developing exam-oriented materials, and supporting learners through their language certification journey.

Key Responsibilities
Exam-Focused Instruction
Deliver targeted French instruction aligned with
TEF Canada
exam requirements, including the four key competencies: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Design and teach lessons that reflect the structure, content, and timing of the TEF Canada exam.
Provide learners with strategies, practice exercises, mock exams, and individualized feedback to improve performance.
Continuously adapt lessons based on student progress and test readiness.
Curriculum Development & Oversight
Develop and maintain TEF-focused instructional materials, mock exams, and preparatory resources.
Ensure alignment with
Canadian immigration language benchmarks
and CLB equivalencies.
Integrate exam-taking strategies and real-world language applications relevant to immigration and settlement in Canada.
Student Support & Success
Assess learners' initial proficiency levels and track progress throughout the program.
Offer personalized coaching and support to help learners meet immigration language requirements.
Foster a culturally inclusive, motivating classroom environment where adult learners feel supported and confident.
Program Coordination (as needed)
Support scheduling, material updates, and learner intake for TEF preparation courses.
Coordinate with administration to ensure instructional consistency and high-quality delivery.
Collaborate with staff and students to maintain clear pathways from language training to immigration goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree. Preferably in Education, French or a related field.
Minimum
2 years of experience teaching French as a Second Language (FSL)
, ideally with a focus on
TEF Canada
or
TCF
preparation.
Strong knowledge of French language proficiency testing, Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB), and their role in the immigration process.
Experience working with international learners or newcomers to Canada is highly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; empathetic and results-oriented teaching approach.
Proficient with online and in-person instructional tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, Teams, etc.).
