Vancouver Churchill College is currently seeking a passionate and qualified
French Instructor
to teach
in-person
at our Burnaby campus. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about language education and experienced in delivering engaging lessons to adult learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach in-person French language classes based on the college's curriculum
Prepare lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments
Support student progress through feedback, participation tracking, and attendance
Create an inclusive, interactive, and supportive classroom environment
Coordinate with program staff to ensure consistent delivery of course content
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
Native or near-native fluency in French
At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably with adult learners
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching French as a second language in Canada
Familiarity with CEFR (A1-B2) or DELF/DALF preparation
Knowledge of second-language acquisition methods or curriculum design
Position Details:
In-person instruction only (not a remote teaching position)
Part-time contract; specific schedule to be discussed
All teaching materials and classroom resources provided
Competitive hourly rate based on experience
