Summary

Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is seeking a motivated and dedicated French and English Tutor to join our team and help students excel in their academic pursuits. As a tutor, you will provide one-on-one academic support in literacy and expressive writing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor lessons to meet individual student needs. Whether you're helping with homework, preparing for exams, or reinforcing key concepts, your role will be crucial in supporting students' academic growth and boosting their confidence. Key Responsibilities:

Assessing students' current academic level target subjects and preparing individualized lesson plans based on the Ontario curriculum and IEP (when applicable).

Preparing and marking weekly homework assignments.

Maintaining an attendance sheet to keep track of student attendance.

Monitoring and tracking student progress based on AECS standards and prepared procedures.

Preparing students for upcoming tests and exams.

Must be willing to travel to the students' homes

Qualifications:

OCT Certification is an asset

Minimum 1 year experience teaching English based on the Ontario curriculum

Able to work independently

Access to a vehicle is an asset

Experience working with students with special needs is an asset.

French proficiency is required

Rate:

$25.00-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience, credentials, and performance
