What you will do
Det'on Logistics is seeking a skilled Freight Handler to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight by loading and unloading cargo from aircraft and delivery trucks. We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious individual who is motivated to contribute to our customer-focused business. A Day in the Life

• Operate warehouse and yard equipment including forklifts and or loaders for the efficient and safe handling of freight.
• Utilize your organizational skills to ensure that all freight is accurately sorted, secured and labeled for safe transport.
• Demonstrate your attention to detail by ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
• Provide assistance in locating high-priority freight and preparing loads for upcoming flights or trucks.
• Be a safety advocate by actively participating in the Company's Safety Management System program.
• Demonstrate your knowledge and commitment to safety by understanding and fulfilling your responsibilities regarding safety as an employee.

What You Bring

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous forklift or loader experience is considered an asset.
• Previous warehouse experience is considered an asset.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push and pull for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing to work in an outdoor winter environment

• Applicants should possess the ability to multitask and work in high volume, fast paced environment
