We are currently seeking a

Freelance Commercial Estimator

to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking for flexible, project-based work with a respected and established contractor.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates by gathering and analyzing blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Prioritize estimating tasks as directed by the Operations or General Manager. Identify labor, material, and time requirements with precision and attention to detail. Obtain competitive bids from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring best pricing and quality. Review and resolve discrepancies by analyzing project details and collaborating with stakeholders. Liaise and communicate effectively with engineers, architects, contractors, and clients. Prepare and present comprehensive cost estimates, including numerical and descriptive information. Maintain an organized and up-to-date cost database. Stay informed on industry standards, pricing trends, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in commercial drywall, steel stud, light/heavy gauge structural framing, and acoustic ceiling estimating. Certificate, diploma, or degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in estimating software (QuickBid preferred). Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
