The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager will work with the Director of Sales & Marketing and oversees all aspects of marketing. Promote on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels with the goal of driving revenue and supporting total hotel goals. This role is hands-on and partners with our in-house agency, Second Wave and social media contractor, Cloud9 to verify all local, social, and digital marketing efforts are effectively integrated with the selling efforts for the hotel. The Marketing Manager will manage all internal and external communication, digital presence, including but not limited to property website, third party channels and social media while maintaining brand integrity. Activates incremental marketing and media opportunities ranging from partnerships, third-party sites and CVBs. Reports out on campaign performance to Sales, Marketing & Revenue Management leadership as requested. Other responsibilities include managing media requests and hosting, planning photography, video and online assets as needed.

Marketing & Digital:

  • Working with the Director of Sales & Marketing, develop and execute the overarching marketing strategy from marketing plans to budgets for hotel that align with business priorities.
  • Cultivates partnership with and active participation in demand generation strategy development (sales, marketing and revenue management).
  • Coordinates and oversees ad, website and collateral production. This includes negotiating contracts, initiating request for artwork, copywriting, approving artwork.
  • Developing promotional opportunities to increase sales.
  • Reconciles marketing plan monthly with accruals, forecast.
  • Develops marketing collateral and messaging.
  • Reviews and tracks status of marketing campaigns and provides updates and ongoing analysis to parties involved.
  • Leads and/or partners with Hotel Operations to conceptualize/execute property-level Programming and Activation, based on brand guidelines.
  • Participates in branding discussions and monitors brand cohesiveness through all marketing materials.
  • Serves as the hotel(s) brand guardian / liaison, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice. Leads the strategic pull-through of continent and brand promotions and campaigns.
  • Work with all department heads to ensure compliance with all brand standards which includes but not limited to collateral, internal and external advertising.
  • Develops and manages property email marketing strategy, digital strategy across M.com and Third-Party sites, paid media campaigns and performance and verifies proper execution.
  • Manage guest communications (e.g. confirmation, pre-arrival, etc.).
  • Runs, reviews, analyzes and clearly articulates to stakeholders' key reports and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Develops annual digital marketing plan to maximize hotel revenue production and identify digital marketing opportunities on third party and local partner sites.
  • Monitors and provides recommendations for SEO and update as needed in collaboration with MDS or agency.
  • Partnering with hotel teams to drive marketing strategies.
  • Writing copy, proofing and developing content as needed.
  • Analyzes marketing plan effectiveness. Research new marketing opportunities.
  • Works with outside PR vendors to create press releases as needed. Provides guidance on PR and promotional opportunities to increase sales.
  • Understand market conditions and their potential marketing value to maximize market share.
  • Remain flexible to the needs of the business.
Partnerships and Public Relations:
  • Manages execution of PR events and promotions.
  • Proactive approach with media and public relations, include evaluating opportunities, coordinating the details of the visit, messaging and hosting media.
Outlet and Ancillary
  • Manages outlet marketing opportunities on third party and local partner sites.
  • Defines in-house F&B programming in partnership with F&B Director and manage execution.
Social Media
  • Develops and implements social strategy with social media agency.
  • Manages paid social media budget and strategy.
  • Assists in reviewing social media content calendars and collect local area and property events.
General:
  • Leads, owns and directs asset development, including hotel collateral, photoshoots (sourcing, planning, on-site execution, post-editing and distribution
  • Measures and communicates success of campaigns and digital performance using relevant reports tools.
  • Demonstrates the ability to create and maintain strong relationships and negotiation skills with key internal and external partners/stakeholders (e.g. GMs, Sales and Revenue Leaders, Regional Team, media representatives).
  • Collects, reviews, and submits invoices for property marketing efforts and manage the overall submission process.
  • Completes other reasonable duties as requested by leadership.
