Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. This role requires attention to safety protocols, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently. Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring all products are handled according to company standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA regulations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Engage in heavy lifting as required, handling materials up to specified weight limits. Participate in training programs for heavy equipment operation and warehouse management systems.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling. Proficiency in operating forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes. Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Experience with shipping & receiving operations is preferred. Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards is essential. Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar leadership role is a plus.
