Production Worker - Forklift Driver / Laborer Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification an asset).
Stack, stage, and bundle products in preparation for shipping.
Build and secure product pallets in a pyramid style for storage.
Load and unload trucks in a safe and timely manner.
Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of the production area.
Perform basic quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Stage materials according to work order priorities.
Rotate between tasks and assist in various areas of the plant as needed.
Conduct basic inspections of production and mobile equipment.
Follow all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Work collaboratively with team members, maintaining a positive and respectful workplace.
Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Forklift operation experience required; certification preferred.
Mechanical aptitude is an asset but not required.
Ability to lift up to
50 lbs (23 kg)
repeatedly throughout the day.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Reliable transportation --
applicants must be able to commute to the facility.
Job Type: Full-time Seasonal up to 10 months

Schedule:
Day shift (8:00am to 4:30pm) occasional over time
Ability to commute/relocate:
Nisku, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Working conditions:
Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Manual labour, including bending and lifting, moving and placing boards.
Working alone throughout the day
Minimal supervision after initial training
Working with limited lighting through the winter months
Able to be on your feet for most of the day, depending on tasks
