Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution and inventory management. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting tasks in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with warehouse management systems and order picking processes is highly valued. Duties

Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently. Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs. Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations and maintaining accurate records of materials moved. Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper placement for easy access and safety compliance. Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment. Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve overall workflow. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including heavy lifting techniques and equipment operation guidelines.

Experience

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment. Familiarity with clamp trucks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding setting. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy. Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates committed to safety and efficiency.

Pay: $21.00-$21.50 per hour
