Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

Review and analyze financial data to find/identify discrepancies or irregularities Prepare financial schedules and reports for litigation/loss quantification (personal injury, fatality, family law, disability, expropriation, contract disputes, shareholder disputes and other commercial disputes) Perform fraud investigations, allegations of misappropriation, fraud risk assessments, fraud risk management frameworks and public sector employee investigations. Prepare financial schedules and reports for insured losses (cyber business interruption, property business interruption, fidelity / employee dishonesty / crime, income replacement benefits, stock losses) Perform financial analysis in the context of legal or potentially legal disputes Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner Meet time budget and deadlines as expected per file Maintain appropriate legislative knowledge on an ongoing basis Assist with attending conferences, events, presentations and proposals Other duties as required

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

Strong analytical, accounting and auditing skills Experience in forensic accounting CPA designation or working towards CPA, CBV designations an asset Knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting process Knowledge of family law, personal injury, accident benefits an asset Highly detail oriented, excellent organizational/time management and communication skills Bilingual in English and French preferred
